Jadeite Tiger statue 170 x 160 x 900cm weighing aprox 500kg. This is a striking and substantial outdoor sculpture, beautifully carved from jadeite. The piece has weathered naturally over time, but with professional pressure cleaning, it will restore to its original deep green luster as seen when first commissioned. A promissory note issued to Edward Lord, June 26th 1821 by Edward Foord Bromley, Esq., Treasurer of the Police Fund, Van Diemen's Land, Government House, Hobart Town, for the sum of sixty one pounds, eighteen shillings and two pence, for articles and furniture supplied to Government House, New Norfolk Document No 207. With attached invoice of goods. Printing and pen and ink on paper. Also signed lower right by Lieutenant-Governor the Colonel William Sorell. An extremely rare numismatic document in very good condition for an extremely high amount compared to other police fund notes sold in auction in Australia. This invoive is of great historical impotance as it provides a valuable insight to the cost of items in the new colony.

Printed on parchment with details entered in pen and ink, bearing wax seal of the Colonial Secretary and Registrar. 21.8 x 32.3cm.

By Colonial secretary John Burnett Esquire with original wax seal and witnessed by Colonel George Arthur, Lieutenant Governor of Van Diemen's Land.
An official document from Colonel George Arthur, Lieutenant Governor of Van Diemen's Land to Malcolm Laing Smith of Norfolk Plains, appointing him as a coroner in and for Van Diemen's Land and it's Dependencies on the 1st of September, 1830. Pen and ink on parchment.

An extremely rare numismatic document in very good condition for an extremely high amount compared to other police fund notes sold in auction in Australia. This invoive is of great historical impotance as it provides a valuable insight to the cost of items in the new colony.
