A promissory note issued to Edward Lord, June 26th 1821 by Edward Foord Bromley, Esq., Treasurer of the Police Fund, Van Diemen's Land, Government House, Hobart Town, for the sum of sixty one pounds, eighteen shillings and two pence, for articles and furniture supplied to Government House, New Norfolk Document No 207. With attached invoice of goods. Printing and pen and ink on paper. Also signed lower right by Lieutenant-Governor the Colonel William Sorell. An extremely rare numismatic document in very good condition for an extremely high amount compared to other police fund notes sold in auction in Australia. This invoice is of great historical importance as it provides a valuable insight to the cost of items in the new colony.
